1st Annual HPL Book Swap: 7 – 8 PM

You are cordially invited to the 1st Annual Hagerstown Public Library Book Swap. We will open the doors at 6:30PM, so come early to peruse and grab a hotdog and chips from the First Methodist Church. (No books can be picked out until 7PM.)

For our SWAP,  there is no money exchanged in HPL or on our property. Bring your favorite book or favorites to SWAP for something new! You can bring up to 10 pre-loved books—fiction, non-fiction, children or adult books, and for each book you will receive a ticket. You will exchange the tickets for new-to-you books chosen from the SWAP area!

We ask that all books be in good condition without damage, scribbles, stains or mildew. Please do not bring textbooks, encyclopedias or dated materials.

You can bring your books with you on the evening, but we ask all books turned in by 6:45PM on the 29th. Books can be dropped off earlier for a ticket beginning Tuesday, June 20th during regular Library hours and until close on June 29. Then at 7 PM, you can start picking and find one book for each ticket you have.

Any remaining books will be donated to HPL, and any monetary donations go towards HPL programs.
