Library Offers New Digital Service
Hagerstown Library now offers a new digital service called Hoopla. Hoopla provides streaming and downloadable tv shows, movies, audiobooks, and music through apps for both Apple and Android devices including smart phones, tablets and other handheld devices with access to the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Hagerstown-Jefferson Township Library Partners with Hoopla Digital to Give Patrons Online and Mobile Access to Free Movies, TV Shows,
Library card-holders can now borrow dynamic content from their smartphones, tablets and PCs
HAGERSTOWN, Ind. (Mar. 03, 2014) – Hagerstown-Jefferson Township Library today announced public availability of thousands of movies, television shows, music and audiobooks, all available for mobile and online access through a new partnership with hoopla digital (hoopladigital.com).
Hagerstown card holders can download the free hoopla digital mobile app on their Android or IOS device or visit hoopladigital.com to begin enjoying thousands of titles – from major Hollywood studios, record companies and publishers – available to borrow for instant streaming or temporary downloading to their smartphones, tablets, computers and Apple TV.
“We’re always exploring new digital services that will meet the diverse needs of our patrons, while providing access to all, regardless of physical or geographic location” said Ruth Frasur, Director at Hagerstown-Jefferson Township Library. “hoopla digital’s content ranges from entertainment to educational to children’s programs, so there’s something for everyone. Patrons only need a library card to get started and all content is accessible on-the-go – free of charge.
It’s also digital so there is no waiting period for popular titles and Hoopla’s automatic return means no late fees.”
Hagerstown-Jefferson Township Library is the eleventh library system in Indiana to partner with Hoopla Digital. Current partners include Jennings County Public Library, Bartholomew County Public Library, Bedford Public Library, Hancock County Public Library, Allen County Public Library, Alexandria-Monroe Public Library, Jackson County Public Library and more.
